The role of a procurement officer is becoming increasingly important in a company. Therefore, it is necessary to develop in the profession and master the tools that are widely used around the world. Effective procurement management is not just an advantage, but a strategic necessity. The training “Category Management in Procurement” is a completely new approach to learning and mastering knowledge on the topic.
During the classes, participants will learn practical tools, approaches, and methods of category management and go through all the stages of developing a category strategy. We will work in small groups. We will provide templates that you can work with the very next day after the training.
During the training, we don’t just combine theory and practice – we take 1-2 real categories from your business and, together with the team, form a draft category strategy. This means that after completing the training, you will have ready-made developments that can be implemented in your work.

| Formation of the Category team. Stakeholder management. Mendelow matrix as a tool for managing relationships with stakeholders. A plan for communication and interaction with stakeholders. Who is the project sponsor and how to build relationships with them? RASCI in Category Management. How it is used in practice. Exercises in groups |

| Identification of business needs. What are specifications (Terms of Reference). Examples of good and bad SOWs Gathering information from the company to prepare the ToR. Interaction in the company within the framework of working with the SOW. Analyzing opportunities and potential of the Companies. Generating ideas and evaluating them, taking into account obstacles and potential. Exercises in groups |
